Draft — have a lawyer review before public launch.

This page is written for BatchOrbit as it is being built. It will change before anyone outside the beta can rely on it.

Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

BatchOrbit is an independent software service that republishes your own short videos to your own Facebook Page as Reels, on a schedule. BatchOrbit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Meta, TikTok or Google. Facebook runs the Creator Fast Track program, decides who is accepted into it, and pays any bonus; BatchOrbit has no part in that decision and no way to influence it.

Questions about this policy go to support@batchorbit.com.

2. What we collect, and why

Your account

Your email address, an optional name and follower count you enter in Settings, your timezone (so posting days are counted in your own local time rather than ours), the name of your workspace and your email preferences. We use these to sign you in, to send you the emails the service sends, and to count your posting days.

From the accounts you connect

When you connect TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or a Facebook Page, the connection is made through our vendor Post for Me, and the consent screen you approve is Post for Me's. Through it we read the following, using only the permissions you approve:

  • your handle, display name, profile picture and follower count;
  • for each video: its ID, title or caption, upload date, duration, width and height, thumbnail, and its original link;
  • engagement statistics: views, likes, comments, shares and saves.

We use these to list your own videos, to rank them by how well they performed, to check whether a video fits the Reels format, and to fill in your calendar and dashboard. A platform that does not provide a given statistic — TikTok and YouTube, for example, do not report saves — leaves it blank; we do not fill the gap with a zero or an estimate.

We request read-only access to your source accounts. We do not read or write anything on TikTok, YouTube or Instagram beyond the list above, and we do not post to any of them.

Video files

TikTok, YouTube and Instagram do not hand us your video files through the connection the beta uses, so you upload the original files to us — for all three alike. Where our own application is the one connected to an Instagram account, it can fetch the file through the official API instead; the beta does not use that path. Files are stored in private storage and are used only to publish the Reel you approved. See section 4 for how long they are kept.

What we publish

The Reels we post to your Facebook Page, the caption used, when each was posted, and its verification status — whether Facebook confirms it is public and is a Reel rather than an ordinary Page video. We keep this so we can show you your record and so a failed post can be retried.

Eligibility checks

If you answer the Facebook Creator Fast Track questions, we store your answers so we can tell you what to fix and, if you ask us to, email you when the answer changes. In that case we also store the email address you give us. You can see this on our eligibility page. Your answers are not linked to your account unless you sign up.

Technical data

Session cookies keep you signed in, a cookie records your timezone, and our servers keep ordinary access logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. Error reports may include a stack trace and a request identifier, never your video files or access tokens.

3. Access tokens

When you connect an account, the platform issues an access token so your data can be read and, for Facebook, a Reel can be published. That token is issued to Post for Me, which makes every connection on our behalf: it stays with Post for Me, and we never receive or store it. Where our own application is the one connecting, we hold the token instead — encrypted before it is stored, never written to logs, and never read from a request. Either way a token is used only for the platform it came from, only for the purposes described here, and only while your connection is active, and disconnecting withdraws it immediately.

4. How long we keep it, and what we never do

We keep your data while your account is active. When you disconnect a platform, its access is withdrawn immediately — the vendor's credential at the vendor, and any token we held deleted immediately — and the data we pulled from it is removed within 30 days. When you delete your account, we delete your workspaces, connections, files and schedules on the same schedule. Records we are legally required to keep — such as payment confirmations — are kept only for as long as that obligation lasts.

Reels we published to your Facebook Page are not deleted by deleting your BatchOrbit account. They belong to your Page, and you can remove them there.

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it for advertising. We do not use it to build advertising profiles. We do not scrape platforms, and we do not use third-party download services to obtain your videos — every video file reaches us either through the official API or from you.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy

We use Google account data — your email address, and the YouTube channel and video metadata and statistics you authorise us to read — only to show you your own content and to schedule its publication. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone except where the law requires it, and we do not use it to make any determination about you other than the scheduling and eligibility information you ask us for. We read the minimum permissions needed: your YouTube videos, their statistics, and your channel analytics.

6. Platform terms

Connecting an account does not change your agreement with that platform. You remain responsible for complying with the terms of the platform you connect — including TikTok's Terms of Service, Meta's Terms of Service and Platform Terms, and YouTube's Terms of Service and API Terms of Service — and for having the right to re-publish every video you send us. Use of these APIs is subject to those terms and to the policies they link to.

7. Who else handles your data

These providers process data on our behalf, for the stated purpose only:

ProviderWhat it handles
RenderHosting, database and background workers.
Cloudflare R2Private storage for video files you upload or we fetch.
StripePlan payments and billing details, if you upgrade.
ResendTransactional email we send on your behalf.
SentryError reports, with personal data removed before sending.
Post for MeConnecting your accounts, holding their access tokens, reading your profile and video data, and publishing Reels to your Facebook Page on our instruction.
OutstandBackup publisher, reserved for if the primary publisher fails. It receives nothing during the beta.

These providers act as sub-processors under contract and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access tokens and other credentials are encrypted at rest. Every read of your data is scoped to your own workspace, and a publish is refused unless the video, the workflow and the destination Page all belong to the same account.

9. Your choices

You can disconnect any platform at any time, which withdraws its access immediately. You can delete your account. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@batchorbit.com — see our data deletion page for exactly what happens and how long it takes. We answer within 30 days.

10. Your rights where you live

California. If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and why (this policy), to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as that law defines those terms, and we do not use sensitive personal information. Write to us at the address above; we confirm the request comes from your account's email.

United Kingdom. If you are in the UK, BatchOrbit is the controller of your personal data under the UK GDPR. We rely on contract to provide the service you sign up for, on our legitimate interests for security, troubleshooting and service emails, and on your consent for optional emails such as eligibility notifications, which you can withdraw at any time. Your data is stored in the United States. You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to restrict or object to its use, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

11. Children

BatchOrbit is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and the Facebook Creator Fast Track program itself has age requirements we ask you to confirm.

12. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you by email before the change takes effect.
